Candy Shaeffer3rd Dan Black BeltMs. Sheaffer started taking Kenpo Karate in February 1998. She received her Black belt in August of 2003. Ms. Sheaffer started taking Tae Kwon Do in May 1999 received her Gold belt in May. She left TKD in June of 1999 due to injury. She returned to TKD in September of 2001 as a gold belt and received her Black Belt on December 4, 2004. Ms. Sheaffer tested for her First Stripe in July 2005 and 2nd in April of 2007. She tested in the ultimate Black Belt Test in July of 2009, receiving her 3rd Dan Black Belt. Ms. Sheaffer competed in the AOK Tournament circuit as a Brown Belt in 2002 going to the State Competition Ranked first in all 3 divisions she competed in. Although she did not win at state, she brought home experiences and friendships that will last a lifetime. Ms. Sheaffer enjoys the Science of the arts. The physics and mechanics of the Techniques of the Martial Arts hold a certain fascination for her. She is interested in the whys as well as the hows. She strives to better her techniques by applying mechanical and engineering principles. She tries to pass on the knowledge she obtains to make her student's technique better and more effective helping reach their goals in the Martial Arts. |
